Baby in Breech Position Need Advice NOW

I'm reading across several forums where some women waited until they went in labor and the baby in the breech position turns head down. Now my Doctor said canceling my c section date and waiting til I go into labor would not change the position. I feel like I should just wait until I go into labor and hope the baby turns. HELP HELP HELP What do you know that I should know?

Ok..Even with a breech baby, the contractions are beneficial to their lungs..So, I am with you on this..if you go to spinningbabies.com, they have some good ideas on turning a baby..Also, babies have been known to turn during labor..Remember, you have the ultimate say on what you do..Your doc may not be happy with you, but you can put your foot down, and say that you don't want to set a date, just to go into labor on your own..If you still need it, then fine...

My 2nd baby flipped during labour,.. I leaned on my elbows, and knees, and she flipped during a contraction. I dont know if it was luck or what, but I sure felt her flip!

I think you should do whatever you want to do, cuz bottom line you are the boss! I really dont see a problem with trying out labour and see what happens, if thats what you really want. I was advised NOT to labour with my 2nd, cuz my 1st was a c-sec. Against dr's advise, I had a successfull Vbac.

Good luck, I hope all works out for you! xxx

Turning can happen really quickly. My little one was breech on Wednesday and yesterday had turned head down and starting engaging. Go with what you feel sweetie x

I would insist in allowing labour to start naturally, as long as you are both doing OK. Baby may well turn during labour - if not and you do not want to birth normally, you can still have the CS, and the start of natural labour is GOOD for the baby.

just want to tell you my experience. Im sure its rare mind but thought you should no. My baby was breach and didnt turn. I was offered to have her turned but said no. #i had a section and the found a reason for her being breach. Her cord was wrapped round her whole body including her nech. I had several scans that didnt show this. Had i have h
gone into labour i could of lost her. There is sometimes a reason for breach. im sure this is rare though but wanted you to no

I'd wait too. My LO was breech until 2 weeks ago but they can turn very late. I was going to have a breech vaginal delivery but if you are opting for a section, there are still advantages to going into labour first. They would rather schedule you for THEIR convenience.

How far along are you?
