Craving peanuts...should I/ shouldn't I?

I'm soooo craving some roasted peanuts! I'm not allergic or anything and MW has said it's okay to have some.

So...should I give in??

Do it! The government have changed their minds about nuts, so if you or your OH and immediate family don't have allergies- dig in!

I couldn't survive without Crunchy Nut Cornflakes and PB on toast!

I was told as long as hubby and I don't have allergies to nuts, then it's okay to eat them. I have gone through about 5 jars of peanut butter throughout this pregnancy, and intend to buy another jar tomorrow. It's up to you because people still worry, but I say have it if you're craving it.

I've had peanut butter throughout my pregnancy. But if you're worried, try some cashew or almond butter (I get it at Holland and Barrett) - sooooo much nicer than peanut butter.

I'd eat some! Good source of protein. And a little bit is fine anyways!

I've had them cos neither me or partner (or any direct relatives) have an allergy. I think I wouldnt have eaten them if any of us had.

Absolutely! Enjoy!
The newest studies actually show that kids who are exposed before a year actually are LESS likely to have allergies than those who avoid it. I would think that applies to during pregnancy as well.
I have gone through more jars or peanut butter than I can count between my first and second pregnancies.

My son is allergic to peanuts and there were no previous allergies to foods in either of our families. My allergist told us more and more kids are getting peanut allergies every year but they don't know why!
