Can anyone tell me about this. Is it safe? Any side effects? How do you use it and how much do you use? I know you can take it orally or put it directly on your cervix but I didnt know how many mg or how much to put on your cervix or how often to use it. Just wondering
Thanks, I am just worried about the amount in the capsule. Cause when I bought them I didnt realize I got 1350mg capsules and I now know that there are lower doses like 500mg. Does anyone know if it matters?
Are there directions on the bottle? Found this on Google:
Evening primrose oil is an excellent source of prostaglandins, which we already determined readies your cervix for labor. It can be taken orally as soon as 34 weeks, and can be applied directly to the cervix at full term (36 weeks). The general recommendation is two 500mg
capsules per day until week 38, at which time you increase to 3-4 per day. The entire capsule can be inserted vaginally (inserted just before bed, it will dissolve before the first time you wake to use the bathroom), or you can use the oil on your fingers for your perineal massage, then also rub on your cervix (assuming you can reach it).
...I would say if the bottle has that much in one pill maybe just do one a day so you don't over do it.

I was thinking maybe just one a day too, especially since its a bit messy once it dissolves! I will just do one at night then and hope it gets my cervix softening. Thanks for the answers ladies
