Low placenta....did yours move?

Hi all, just popping in from 2nd tri! I had my 20 week scan yesterday....all looks good but the consultant said my placenta is posterior low. Not too low but still low. He said he expects it to move up but if not it's a section for me!

So anyone else have this at 20 weeks and it move up? I'm not keen on pushing but I would like to at least try!!!! :-) x

Mine was still low at 34 week scan - had another scan last week (fearing it would be too late) and it had moved 'by miles' the sonographer said - so all fine for normal delivery....

Apparently 80% of women with low placenta at 20 weeks will have normal at 32 weeks... dont worry about it yet as you have quite some time for it to move x

I have experience of both!! Had complete praevia with my first son which never moved and completely covered the OS so had a section!! Then this time round my placenta was partially covering again so I was convinced it would be the same, but it had moved 7cm out of the way by 28 weeks xx

Mine was low at the 20 week scan too and partially covering my cervix. I had the second scan at 30-something weeks (can't remember, darn pregnancy brain!) and it had completely moved I hope yours does, too!
When we found out it was low I was just absolutely fascinated by medical science and the things they can help and prevent now so we can have more healthy babies.
There isn't anything you personally can do to change it's position, so try not to worry Hope this helps!
