I'm going to cry like crazy, probably feel every emotion all at once and just be in shock like the other gals because it seems like he's almost not real but when I can see him and hold him it will finally feel real that I have a son.

It's strange, but I was actually very non-plussed about Kaya's arrival. I thought I would be crying or overwhelmed by it all but I just accepted it without really thinking or anything. I think I was just so exhausted that it took a week or two for me to bond with her.

When Bethanie was almost out, I started to do this really pathetic, whimpering kind of cry. I think everyone thought it was because of the pain, but it wasn't.. it was because I knew I was going to get to hold her soon. Apparently, I wouldn't let her go afterwards lol, I remember glancing at Sonny then my mum and back to Bethanie and staring into her eyes.. the rest is a big blur!

Such an amazing feeling. :')

I kinda did that too. When I was told I had a short cervix I thought for sure he would be here by 37 maybe 38 weeks max... but here I am just over 39 weeks and no baby. Its a bit disappointing. My next baby I am going to convince myself I will be 2 weeks late and then I wont be upset if he/she isnt early.

Pure Love, and receive her with gladness.

Just to hear her little cries so I can comfort all her needs, is a joy.

I feel that I haven't really bonded with my LO yet and that scares me. I'm not sure if its just denial or if the reality of the situation just hasn't sunk in. Or I'm just so scared of something going wrong that I'm desperately trying not to get attached?!

I feel like I'm just a machine/ object in all of this especially at the scans.

I've never been broody when seeing other peoples baby, in fact I've been the complete opposite. I don't want to hold them or touch them.

Its been on my mind so much lately. Will I love my baby? I think and sure as hell hope I will, but I keep on having doubts about it.

My OH I know is going to be crying when he sees his son. I've seen the reaction on his face everytime he see or feels him move and its just the most wonderful thing to see.

Do your docs check your cevix often? Because then maybe they'd be able to give you a bit more of an idea whether he's on his way or not...
