I picked mine out but was then told by midwife that they like us taking our babies home in woollen jersey and woollen hat. and a woollen blanket not polar fleece. i'm not sure why.

we bought a little sleep suit to put her in at first but we are hopin for a home birth but after that we have a couple of outfits for when we go to see peole or they come see us!

A sleepsuit and wee jacket is what my boy will be coming homw in as when i had my 2nd baby i dident know to point his bits downwards when putting the nappy on resulting in him peeing out the nappy all over his clothes, so 3 changes later with me in tears i phoned my sister who had boys and she told me if his bits were pointing upwards of course the urine was going to spray out the nappy.

my 1st was a girl so i dident have that problem, lol

ive bought a sleepsuit with a monkey on the front and need to buy a little jacket, he has a hat to match the sleepsuit but depending on weather we have a knitted hat that says "liverpool baby" on the front..not my choice but OH is a liverpool supporter lol

we have a set that is a vest, matching sleepsuit(babygro) hat and mittens and a bib and its cream and yellow stripes as we dont know if baby is a boy or girl and we have a white recieving blanket for in the carseat,

DS came home in a blue short sleved short legged romper with tigger on it and white hat and botties and, it was mid summer when he was born

OH has picked out baby a coming home outfit in case we have to go in. He has chosen jeans and a t-shirt which is kinda cute.

I think mine's coming home in a little Superman sleeper. We'll see how big he ends up being!

Deffo a babygro of some kind and a cardi. Im really not a fan of newborns wearing 'proper' clothes xx
