Can you still get kicked in the ribs when youve "dropped"???

I'm 38 weeks and I should have "dropped" by now. The head is engaged and I feel heavy in my pelvis, but i still get limbs and things right under my ribs can be really uncomfortable. Does this mean he's not dropped yet? xxx

Yup, depends what position the babies in, particularly if your sitting down though as then your ribs are a bit lower down and bam! My ribs are still target practise =Px

well yeah it seems so from the responses that you can hun but just because you are 38 weeks doesnt mean you have dropped. You will notice your bump go lower. Being engaged doesnt mean he has dropped. Mine is still not dropped But it often happens at the start of labour so dont worry if you havent

I've dropped, and I still get kicks in the ribs. I find it's just kicks and pushes now though, and not constant pressure.
