Water Retention -can you prevent

Hi ladies,

My legs are already retaining water, so they are heavy and sore all day, throbing with pain. Its not total agony yet but is there anything to prevent this?

If not prevent, then maybe ease the problem?

I was just reading up on water retention. It said a possible cause could be too much caffine. I drink about 4 cups of tea a day - I have it weak with milk, do you think that's got too much caffine?

I have the same problem hun, my ankles are awful on a night they get so puffy and swollen. I try to keep my legs up as much as possible as it's suppose to help with water retention. x

as strange as it sounds the best thing for water retention is to drink water, drink as much as you can and the swelling should go down xx

Is it just drinking plain water, or any fluid? I have a strange problem being pregnant, that I find I have to drink jusice which is Fizzy, but not coke etc, Ive been drinking juice with sparkling water,

Would sparkling water be ok to drink to reduce this problem as my legs are throbbing

Must be a pregnancy thing. Was reading a pregnancy mag, and they had an interview with Sarah Cox. She said that she couldnt drink anything which wasnt fizzy either, so she was drinking fizzy water too. Im so sad about it, I actually know which supermarket brand keeps its fizz for the longest, and its ASDA 10p basics, its brilliant.

I do a home shop and buy loads! Only down side is Burping loads

My legs are very swollen too, and throbbing, probably best to monitor this just in case, but cant imagine another 10 weeks at least with throbbing legs at night
