i had to wait 14 days after my due date, but went into labor about 5 hours before i was going to be induced.
they didnt give me a sweep or anything xx

Actually you do have a say. Check out the NICE guidance. They can't force you to have an induction, but they can not tell you that you have the right to refuse! The NICE guidance says that if you refuse induction past 42 weeks, the hospital must monitor you (about every other day I think) with CTG and a scan to check how much amniotic fluid you have and what your placenta looks like. Obviously if it looks like your fluid levels are dropping or your placenta isn't functioning properly you'd be silly to refuse induction, but if everything looks ok then there's no reason why you couldn't wait it out a few more days x

Absolutely but I get the impression from the OP that she's more likely NOT to want to wait than be refusing an induction.....I could be reading it wrong though!

i dont want to wait to long after, id say 4 days tops as im alrady in pain from spd and the midwife said due to baby being back to back im less likely to go into labor naturally anyway so i find it unfair we dont really get a say in when we are induced,
