Fed up of comments on my bump either too big or too small!

Sorry had to rant, as my OH doesnt seem to get it.

I got married on sunday and bought a very sweet grecian style maternity wedding dress and every other woman kept saying "oh you are so small for 7 months I was massive" I am too polite to snap back but why does every one feel the need to make comments?
The night before I hadnt seen my aunt who came to the wedding and she was so shocked at my size and said "you are really showing so big, everyone in our family is usually small, so cute!" My aunt knows me and I dont mind what she says, but women I hardly know commenting I find it really rude, I think it simply best not to say anything, I must remember that when my friends become preggo!

My tummy is even measuring 2 weeks ahead at lest FH check, as if im not nervous enough about everything being ok. it makes me worried that shes not ok when people say my tummy doesnt look ok for 7 months..

Ie become terribly sensitive during pregnancy and moody and i was just thinking about it tonight and its put me in such a mood! lol I will prob read this tomorrow and think " what was I DOING?" lol. Gotta love it.. Hope you ladies are all well.

Please tell me your stories if this has happened to you!

This has happened to me on numerous occasions aswell! Worst time was probably other week when I was at the checkout and the lady asked how long i had to go, when i said i was due 1st April she said I was very small for my stage then the checkout lady behind her thought shed chip in and said I was massive and it was gonna be a big baby..... They actually spent about 5 mins arguing over it! Must admit I found it funny but i agree.... why do people think they have a right to comment on our bumps????

xxx

I am measuring 5 weeks behind, so I only get "You're so small" comments, but its true, so I can't really say anything. The biggest down side for me is that I've never once (even at 38 weeks) had someone notice I was pregnant without it first being pointed out.

I am getting beyond fed up with it too. Of course - I keep hearing how big I am... "What - you still have 2 more months? How big are you gonna get?!!??" WTF? I don't know how big I'm gonna get - and I worry about it myself enough without you adding to it! Stupid idiots!

I'd honestly ignore the comments you get off people, even though i've got a smallish bum for 39 weeks i still get called big by my family and friends but i don't take it to heart. I just say thanks, nod and change the subject. Or there is the other option of being sarcastic back to them which i like doing

ah girls i know how you feel i used to get strangers stopping me in the street saying how big i was...true story...its rude in my opinion i think its cause im all bump but i got so worried i mentioned it to the MW and she says im measuring exactly right for my dates at 6 months people thought i was about to drop haha they must forget your actually growing a person inside you...tho i can imagine people saying your tiny all the time would get on your nerves too as if you dont worry enough during pregnancy

congratulations on your wedding tanay...we got married in december and its a lovely feeling xxx

I get this too, I have people who tell me I'm not very big, then others telling me when I was 6 months that I looked like 'I was ready to drop'. Charming!

Funny thing is EVERYONE tells me my bump is so much bigger this pregnancy than with my first, but I measure a couple of cm's behind for my dates which is exactly as I was with my first. The people that say it only ever saw me a few times when I was pregnant first time round anyway so they must have really good memories!

Why do people feel the need to comment? I think the worse was when the security guard at work thought it was ok to tell me how much bigger my bum had got!!

This happens to me all the time, because i was HUGE with my little boy, he was 9lb 15oz when he was born, i keep getting comments saying "oh you're only small this time around" or "isn't your bump a lot smaller than last time" and it worries me a bit because what if shes only a 6lber i wouldn't know what to do with her...she'd be soo tiny. so i worry if i should be bigger =( i know how u feel hun. xx
