Fed up of comments on my bump either too big or too small! - Page 2

I know I know ... I hear ya !

I'm getting very irratated by it, why do people have to comment. Some of the guys at work have been saying ... wow ... you are massive and you have 8 weeks left .... ARGH !

I got measured the other day and I am 0.5 weeks big, thats nothing !

I think people just carry differently.

Compared to my belly your bump is huge (if its the photo showed under your username), and i get to hear all the time im so small, and thats mostly by professional health care people:/ but I dont mind

And neither should you, some people let go off comments cause they want to wind you up, some cause they are too impulsive and doesnt think before they talk.

As long as your midwife is satisfied with measurements I wouldnt bother about those people, they arent worth your worrying/anger!

I hate it too - it's so inane! Nobody grows at the same rate throughout the lives for goodness sake! and we all grow at different rates. Factor in that you've got TWO individuals in the equation (the mum AND baby) and is it any surprise that they are all unique?!

Thanks girls I feel better now I know most people have to go through all the comments, although ofcourse I wish We didnt have to! Im feeling not so moody today lol.. I was a right old crab right last night lol.. I think my dress did a really good job at hiding it as it was cut just under my boobs and flowed down, i didnt choose the dress to hide it, It was just the most comfy one I found! Bloody people. You are right I think yu just have to ignore it, what d they know anyway!!

I get it as well, but TBH I think it's just something for people to say because they can't think of anything else...

The normal is -

How long to go now?
Are you getting excited/nervous?
Do you know if it's a boy or a girl?
Your mum must be delighted (?)...
How are you feeling?

I normally say something like "yeah - nine and a bit weeks to go still - who knows what size I'll be by then!!" before they get a chance to comment.

I must say the whole pregnancy experience has made me very careful of what to say/ask of other pregnant women but it's like talking about the weather - there are only so many things to say! lol

The one thing that I DETEST though - one person asked me this the other day - "have you started nesting yet?" Oh I hate that expression... sorry just because I keep my house clean/tidy out a cupboard/give the bathroom a lick of paint and I'm pregnant - it's nesting?!?! What's it called when I'm not pregnant then?? Being normal??!

I was kinda relying on the nesting thing to get my house in shape last time, because I am hopeless at that sort of thing the rest of the time. I didn't do ANY nesting. At all. I was quite disappointed!

I've not experienced nesting either and I'm a bit worried that its not going to happen.

everyone seems to make a comment, tho must admit before i was pregnant i wud of commented to my own friends lol. Twice today ive been told im very neat for 38 weeks and then the next shop i went into the girl was like wow ur massive
