Baby Dropped!???

Today i had my 37 week appointment and they checked me. My doc was shocked at far down he was. She said he is so far down that my cervix is behind his head and she couldnt hardly reach my cervix. She also said that she doesnt think im dilated any, but that im 80% effaced.

So how the heck am i going to get the baby out. I thought my cervix should be under his head not behind it!? And im not dilated, but 80% effaced.. is that good or bad?

Sorry for sounding stupid .. this is my first so i dont really understand all the lingo and what should be happening.

Wow thats scary stuff! I'm sure his head will find it's way to your cervix, don't worry!!

I alrerady feel like the baby has dropped right down, I can feel her right in my groin! Heaven for my ribs...hell for my bladder!

Never heard of that hun! Don't worry, I'm sure he'll position himself like he should when you're in labour - if not before that! 80% effaced is great! Not much more effacement and you'll start dilating for sure x
