Pregnancy brain has got me!!

I've always been a bit of a dizzy person but it hadn't got much worse with pregnancy which I was surprised about as one of my friends was doing stuff wrong and forgetting things right from the start due to pregnancy brain (or at least thats what she blamed it on).

Now though I have trouble to finish a sentence before I've completely forgot what I was talking about. Then I'll remember but by the time I've said "oh I remember now" it's gone again!! It's getting very frustrating not only for me but for OH and my family too. Sometimes they'll ask me a question and I'll start to answer & half way through just stop and say "what was the question again"?

Also I'm always putting things down and going to pick them up again only 30 seconds later & they're lost or I find myself in places just standing there for ages staring into space, trying to remember what I was doing there.

Is it a hormonal thing? Anyone else got it bad at the moment?

I can't remember ANYTHING. I make plans with people then forget as soon as I put the phone down. It's ridiculous, I don't even have time to write it down.

Ive done that a few times recently. Someone at work says its called 'nappy brain'

At the moment my thing is pouring boiling water from the kettles at work all over my hand. Not very clever, but you'd think I'd have learnt by now.

Yeah - I have this & it is terrible - I am constantly moving things & forgetting where I have put them, or swearing blind I haven't moved something then once it is found realising that I have. I have forgotten to do a packed lunch for my daughter when she was going to drama club all day on a saturday - good job my mum was able to do one for her as she was sleeping there the night before
The funniest one I think was when I went for my 39 week appointment with MW - was running late as usual - I went to see her - everything was fine, so went shopping with my mum afterwards, went for a coffee & we sat down. My mum was looking at me strange then said whats wrong with your eyelashes - they are white? I had put the white/lengthening coat of mascara on & forgotten to put the black over the top so I had gone to MW appointment & all around shops looking like a freak

I've got it too. Can't remember what common things are called. My mom and OH have to help me out. I have to write EVERYTHING down otherwise it's gone. I had to take this semester off from school so I wouldn't screw up my grades

Saturday I was putting water in the sink for dishes and forgot to turn the water off. Didn't realize it until there was water all over the floor

I have caught myself trying to put refrigerated items in the pantry instead of back in the fridge (that would not be good). Also, at work, I just can't concentrate. I'm either on here reading posts, playing on the Internet or just blowing off time. I don't have time to do this either, I am busy, but I just can't get motivated.

I am very dumb now that Im pregnant. I feel so stupid when I cant finish sentences or when it takes me like an hour to say something because I keep forgetting what Im going to say or I dont make sense with what I am saying. I would like to hope that it will go away after the baby is born but I have a feeling that it will linger for a while with the exhaustion and stress of having a newborn. Im sure I will be normal again someday... I hope!
