what to expect over the coming weeks with movements- sorry for yet another thread

hi

i am wondering what to expect movement wise over the coming weeks.

when i was pregnant with my daughter she stopped growing at 29 weeks and my placenta stopped working so her movements werent normal. she wasnt moving much to reserve energy.

so far the placenta is working right so i just need to know what do you feel movement wise now?

i am still getting kicks but not as many i feel more jabs and rolls. like if she is moving around i feel a hell of a lot of pressure in my tummy. today i have felt quite a lot of hard pushing movements. when i touch them i can tell its something like a foot or elbow digging into my tummy hard.

is this normal? should i still be getting big kicks all the time?

im just trying to stay on the ball as i am worried all the time. also my placenta is anterior should that still be causing problems movements wise now? im 30 and a half weeks

thanks x

sounds pretty similar to mine Hun....in fact my LO movements have picked up again since 31 weeks...had a really really quiet spell at 30 weeks. I have an anterior placenta but feel lots at the sides of my tummy when I lay on my sides in bed and at the top of it tummy I see lots of movements and feel them. Also get the pressure where he sticks his bum out around my tummy button and a foot under my rib! X

I don't feel so much in terms of kicks but I do feel him rolling around. The rolls etc still count as movements I believe. In fact, if I am completely honest, I see the rolling more than feel much.

This is my first so I have nothing to compare too but my babies movements are very strong. My stomach ripples sometimes from all of her kicks and shuffles - And when i'm in the company of others, they've been amazed watching my tummy by what they can see. I'm guessing it's normal.

eta; she's active day and night, i'd say pretty much around the clock.

Not sure what to expect in terms of an anterior placenta, but my LO doesn't kick as much as he used to. Like you, I feel more rolls, pressure, and movements from side to side. I also get lots of him pushing up under my ribs, and out at the sides. He does kick every now and then, but I find they're actually not as powerful as they used to be...I'm assuming it's because he no longer has room to wind up and give me a good kick.

I feel A LOT of rolling, squirming or whatever you want to call it. I don't feel any kicks much anymore since about 30 weeks. In fact, this guy was rolling, flipping, and poking is head or butt up for about two hours straight last night.

As much as I've read, the movements become more of the rolling variety!

I seem to get a kind of rolling sensation occasionally and the odd nudge here and there. Sometimes she will kind of do a little boogy so her head moves then her bum then her feet! The movements are far more pronounced but are less regular now. She is most active at night, specifically when I get into bed, the cheeky monkey! I also get the rippling effect and can see movements on the outside (and feel them). But this has only been the case for the last 3 or 4 weeks.

I have an anterior high placenta.

for me, I've been feeling sooooo much since about 20 odd weeks but more so in the last 5. The kicks and pushes are much bigger, the rolling is stronger and it's just generally so much easier to see and know your baby's pattern.

For example I know that my baby is wide awake beween 8-9.30, again at 4 for about an hour and then again at 11. You can set your alarm by it!

In between those times I get the odd roll, flips, belly moving etc.

I have an anterior placenta too and this hasn't affected movements for me in the slightest.

Nicola xx

My baby is head down now and has been for a while.. Ever since she has been I get a few kicks in the ribs but mainly since she's been head down all I feel is rolls and squirms.. Unless I'm laying on my side in bed then I get quite a few good punches on the side I'm NOT laying on but I see more movement than I feel and I have an AP aswell
