bugaboo bee ... lots of questions please !!

I have been full circle with prams and now back to the start and still confused. We are looking for something light and easy to manage. First of all we were thinking of the icandy peach, but you cant fold it up with the seat attached. So then we moved onto the babystyle oyster, nice and compact and light and folds with the seat, but I dont like the basket or the colours that much. Then we looked at Maclaren XLR, but it doesnt have a continuous handle nor is it front / rear facing .... now we are on bugaboo bee.

I like this pram as it is light, small compact, front and rear facing, folds with seat, and lies flat from birth and I like the basket. However I am worried that it doesnt have a carrycot.

Does anyone have any experience of this pram (or others) and is there a disadvantage of not having a carrycot ? When it lies flat the baby still has to be strapped in doesnt it, is this going to be a problem or uncomfortable for the baby ?

Sorry for so many questions. Many thanks all !!

Hi, We have bought the bugaboo bee for this baby. It doesnt come with a carrycot but you can buy a baby cocoon which is what we did and looks like it is going to be nice and comfy for baby. Sorry cant be more help but no actual experience of it yet but was the best we found x

Yes you do stil need to strap bubba in but I think in all buggies you do to be honest. Had a powertrack with last baby and he was always strapped in and never had a prob x

Hey!

I was inbetween the icandy and the bee. To be honest, the reason we chose the i-candy over the bee is because the it felt a lot easier to fold. The bee we tried in 2 different shops and both times the buttons you push to fold it or change the handle length did not work properly so this kinda worried me. However, I know other people have the bee and love it!!!

Sorry I guess that wasn't much help!

xxxx

I know what you mean, it does sometimes look a little stiff. I think we would need to try to do this ourselves and see how we got on with it. Apparently they are bringing out a new version of the bee at the end of March and this is a little easier to use .... so we might have to try that too. Hope you get on well with the icandy ;-)

We looked at the Bugaboo Bee and really liked it but wanted a carry cot bit too. Someone had mentioned the Mothercare My4 to us which is similar but it does have a pram as well as front/rear facing pushchair and you can take the pushchair/pram bit off and put a Maxicosi car seat on the chassis instead. In the end went for a Mothercare My3 which is exactly the same but has three wheels instead of four.
