Just been told my friends in the labour ward shes 2 cm dialated .. Is this good ? does it mean shel be having the baby soon?

I think Jess was 2cm for like... 3 weeks or something before she had hers! lol

I think you are officially in labour after you hit 4-5 cm.

Sorry hun but 2cm isn't really a lot and loads of woman can be 2 cm without even knowing
it could be quite a while yet

Anywhere within the next few days, I'd assume. A labour can last 15 minutes or 40 hours - it all depends on the woman. My pre-natal teacher assisted a woman with labour, it took her 15 minutes to get from 2 cm to 10 cm, although it is a VERY VERY VERY rare thing to happen. It will typically take longer if this is her first baby.

I went from 2cm to 8cm within 2hrs so who knows. Am sure it won't be too much longer!
