Thanks ladies! Some good suggestions for me to try there!
05wilkesm, ECV stands for external cephalic version (i think!). It's where they try to turn the baby by pushing it from the outside! Have heard that it can be very uncomfortable and even painful for some women. Also it has a less than 50% success rate for 1st timers and can be stressful for baby. But really don't want c-section so i haven't made a decision about whether i'd go for it or not yet.

Here are two things I have read about.......

The Webster Technique (you'll need to google as too long to explain)
Moxibustion - a Chinese Medicine/Accupressure technique

Good luck!

My baby was breech from 28 weeks and I used the techniques on this website

http://spinningbabies.com/

I used them last time when my 2nd baby was posterior (back to back).

I was getting a bit frantic when he still wasnt for turning at my 34 wk check and had decide to refuse the ECV. I was due to go for moxibustion and acupuncture after a presentation scan on monday. I am doing a hypnobirthing course so the practitioner (a qualified hynotherapist) offered to do hypnotherapy to try to help turn him. So I had that on the tuesday and the last part of the therapy was me visualising leaving my presentation scan having been told the baby had turned head down........I went for the scan monday and you guessed it....I left after being told he was head down

I am lucky that my trust offer moxibustion and acupuncture on the NHS but if yours doesnt, I would recommend checking it out before the ECV as it can be quite a traumatic procedure for you and LO and has quite a low success rate and a large number of the babies turn back breech after.
