Need to poo!!

Sorry if thats TMI, but - I really do and I can't!!

I haven't suffered that much through the majority of my pregnancy, but these last couple of weeks have been hell!!

I sit there for hours and all that comes out is a little rabbit dropping!

All the normal stuff they tell you to eat doesn't seem to be working. Can I take a laxatives?

Anyone got any tips?

You can take milk of magnesia, it is safe. It is a laxative and it will produce results quickly.
If you can wait, take metamucil before bed tonight and you should be able to have a BM in the morning.

Personally, I would go for milk of magnesia. I suffered from consitpation for the longest time and there is nothing worse that that feeling.

Activia yogurts and cereals sorted out my constipation. TMI time: It got so bad to the point I didn't want to go because it hurt so bad from straining.

I've done the milk of magnesia. Yuk! It helped a tiny bit. Now I have to take Metamucil fiber tablets and stool softener. Hope you get under control quickly.

Thanks everyone. Have started eating prune activias in the hopes that will help. Problem seems to be getting worse and, bizarrely, when I need to go, as soon as I sit down on the loo, I get cramp in my right leg. Not sure what thats all about!

TMI I know but try a little squat when you're trying to poo. The only way i can seem to get anything going! It just seems to get stuck.. And theres nothing worse than having to give up with what feels like a plug stuck up your behind.

Joys of pregnancy huh?

aww hope the activia works for you.
I havn't had anything like this *touch wood*(head). I have 4 weetabix and a banana and an orange in the morning so not sure if this is anything to do with it as obviously its all mainly fibre etc.

chocolate raisins and peas have worked wonders for me in this situation when ive not been pregnant.
