Mat leave - how much are you sleeping?

I feel like such a lazy cow. I am getting around 10-11 hours a night! Ok so it's far from great sleep, what with the getting up to pee, turning over a million times and clock watching, but I go to bed around 10.30 and get up around 9.30-10.00

Am I too lazy? Is anyone else sleeping as much as me?

I wish!

I get about 8 hours a day, in two hour slots spread over 24 hours! I get a total of about 6 hours at night, waking up every 2 hours to shift position and gulp gaviscon. Once awake I take another 1-1.5 hours to get back to sleep. The best sleep I get is in the afternoon!

my sleeping pattern is all messed up now, needing a pee every 2-3 hours in the night and its so uncomfortable! and then baby likes to wake uo and wriggle around which wakes me up lol. So i end up having a really long lie in or a nap in the day. Today I got up at 8 and went back to bed at 11 for 3 hours! :S wont sleep tonight. At least ithe sleepless nights are getting us ready for what's to come! xxx

I think I probably get about the same as you... I normally get to sleep around midnight (it was closer to 9pm when I was working!) then get up about 8am because I'm STARVING by then!

Then I'll have a nap later for a couple of hours most days...

That 8 hour stretch is normally kind of crappy though, between waking up clawing at my hands & arms, waking up to pee, or just getting a tummy cramp from trying to roll over it isn't exactly restful!

I don't even have a sleep pattern anymore!! I fall asleep after being in bed about and an hour and a half and then I'm waking up every 1.5 - 2 hours to either drink pee or get comfortable again... I feel more tired in the day when I'm doing something like working and it's not possible to sleep lol... As soon as bed time comes I get comfortable and then LO starts partying and I can't sleep... She's even waking me up now which is nice for reassurance reasons but not so good when you're not a morning person and cranky when you're tired lol.

I've already told OH that when LO is born and I'm home from hospital his babysitting whilst I have a nice afternoon nap.... Face down.. On my stomach

*Jealous* So I probably shouldn't post because I'm not on mat leave, and currently get about 7 hours (11:30 - 6:45), but I reckon I do start my leave I will follow a similar pattern. I tend not to got to bed before 11:30 because DH often works evenings and its nice to chat when he gets home. But I will easily be sleeping until 9:30 when when I can. Enjoy it hun!!!

Thanks ladies. Just like to reiterate, that despite me being in bed for those 10 hours or so, I am def NOT sleeping through all of them. I am just too lazy to get my ass out of bed I feel. I def get my best sleep once DH has got up so from 7.30-9.30
