I sleep 8-9 hours a night same as always (more on weekends), but then I'm not on mat leave, so I can't nap during the day. I also don't wake during the night, so it's quality sleep which means I'm alert and ready for work.

hun theres nothing 'lazy'about sleeping when your body needs it! I currently sleep about 9pm - 7am only waking a couple of times to move then straight back off to sleep and Im still working. I intend to get a lot more once I finish on FRIDAY!!!

Then I'll have a nap later for a couple of hours most days...

That 8 hour stretch is normally kind of crappy though, between waking up clawing at my hands & arms, waking up to pee, or just getting a tummy cramp from trying to roll over it isn't exactly restful!
It's hunger that wakes me up in the morning too! I never used to be a breakfast person and couldn't eat until about 10.30am, now I wake up between 8-9am and I HAVE to eat ASAP.

My best sleep is my afternoon nap. Though I only woke up once last night!

I go to bed about midnight and lie there for a few hours till I fall asleep then I am up every few hours to pee. But can sleep as late as midday before I need to get up. There is nothing to stop me the going back to bed till about 4 depending on how tired I am I can nod off quite quickly streched outon the bed with all the pillows. If I forget to set allarm oh gets into bed when he gets in form work and wakes me with a cup of tea and a cuddle. I find after a day in bed I maybe don't have to nap the day for so long. When baby is here oh is keen to take baby out of tts house for walks or downstairs whole I rest. MIL has offered to come and stay for a week when he goes back to work after the 2 weeks if we need her so I am hoping I can rest if I need to.

My sleep pattern is virtually none existant! I colapse into bed anywhere from 9 once the kids are asleep, wake up about 4 times a night for a wee,or to change position cos my hips are sore.It takes about 40 minutes to an hour to get back to sleep and I get up at 7 for taking the kids to school.Plus my 4 yr old daughter wakes up AT LEAST 1/2 times and I have to sit there til she drops off again!Last night she was up from 2.30 til 4.45.
Yes Im feeling very sorry for myself today

Hi
I'm sleeping about 8 hours at night but the sleep is not quality sleep and I find I am still very tired when I wake up. I am waking up soooo many times at night - weird / bad dreams, toilet trips, adjusting my position or because I'm snoring (formally slept on my stomach) -and it takes ages to get back to sleep once I'm awake. I have to have an afternoon sleep of about 2 hours if I am to get through the day and I feel a lot more human after this sleep. At first I felt guilty, especially after being used to being so busy with working full time and everything - but now I don't, I need the sleep. And I enjoy it too :-D
