Exclamation

37weeks & scared

Hello

I'm 37 weeks pregnant and v anxious. My waters broke on Wednesday night & I was admiited to the maternity ward. They kept there on the hope that labor would start natuarally 24hrs after teh rupture and if they were not to start I would be induced after this. Not once was I given an internal. I was attached to a monitor to check the baby's heartrate. I eventually got seen by a dr on the Thurs night who said would induce me on Sunday (37 + 1) to then later change his mind & advise I would be induced on Saturday. I was given a course of antibiotics to prevent infection. This morning whilst still in hospital I was advised that the Dr wanted to induce me this afternoon instead of me waiting any longer. After waiting all day to be induced or to even be seen to too and after being tod i was 1cm dialated I was told that I was not going to be induced. To cut a long story short I demanded to see the Dr for answers as I was told different stories since my admission to the ward on Weds night he gave ma an internal to advise I had not ruptured my membranes and that I wasn;t dialated and was to be discharged!!!

I'm anxious now that I am goign to get an infection. I was not prescribed antibiotics when discharged. When they measured my fundal height this morning it had reduced by 4cm and I was still losing "waters". I'm really concerned & confused. Has anywone had a similar experience or could offer me any advice as I am not getting any answers from the midwives of the dr's at my hospital.

Thank you!!!

Kat

Aww you poor thing.. To be told your waters had broken then oh no they haven't, is crazy, how did they mix that up.. You must be so confused!!

You might have a small leak in the sac that the baby is in.. While I was in hospital over the weekend, another lady came in with the exact thing, her waters were leaking slowly and they just sent her home. Like you she wasn't happy to just go home.. But they didn't seem concerned at all..

I hope everything turns out ok

i hope everything is ok for you! I am sure they would not let you go if you were at a serious risk of infection. If it worries you too much, get another doctor's opinion.

Glad they have you on antibiotics to prevent infection! Hopefully you will start having contractions on your own soon

Sorry no advice, But I will be thinking of you. How rude of them to leave you with virtually no answers
