I've had a few contractions before but that BH was WORSE. It felt like I had just been electricuted in the top of my bump for 5 seconds.

Holy sh*t... OUCH.

God labour is going to hurt..

I had these 'electrocuting' BH - my real labour pains were completely different, but I know exactly how you feel - big for you.

Actually, I had strong and painful BH from my third trimester onwards, but my actual labour went really smoothly and I coped really well - the contractions didn't even seem that painful really - It was just a case of breathing through each one. The time went really quickly, I never made a sound, and in what felt like no time at all I had the urge to push - when I did she just slid out - the midwife barely had time to catch her!!

So maybe these BH really do prepare your bodies and that's why my labour progressed so easily and so quickly? Hopefully your labour will be the same, Toria!

I told my MW I was having those and she told me they weren't contractions or BH at all..but that it was from everything getting all squished up. Granted..she was a STUDENT midwife (even though I PAY for a DOCTOR and wanted a DOCTOR..all they give me is a STUDENT..ever time). so who knows if she's right or not.
