Yes Gaviscon is like drinking lard but I got to the stage where I would rather put up with it than have heartburn. I now get 500ml bottles on prescription. Also you do need to eat. I always thought not eating made it go away but have found that eating something can often help. I hope it eases soon. I feel your pain!!

I have the gaviscon double action tablets they work really well. Also an extra pillow, as soon as I lie down straight it's like WHAM heartburn! Doesn't really seem to make any difference to what or when I eat, I just always get hearburn.

Gaviscon worked for me for since about 22 weeks when the HB started but now nothing works for longer than 10 minutes! I drink so much milk, don't eat close to bed time etc... the gaviscon tablets (cool) I think they are work quite well - still not for long. I fin the only time it's not that ba is sat on my yoga ball with a very straight back! Good luck hon I know how you feel.

x

I got a huge bottle of Gaviscon on prescription from docs - you don't need to keep buying stuff yourself - and I try not to get too hungry and then eat as then I get it worse

Good luck!
