The first week of 'One born every minute' I just recorded it, I wasn't feeling brave enough to watch! Last week I watched it and then watched the first week so I was very proud of myself! All rather scarey though!!!!

Well I'd better sign off for tonight - I've got my glucose tolerance test thingy in the morning so I have to be at the hospital for just after nine. Been lovely to 'chat' though and looking forward to been bump buddies!!
Sorry, OH turned off the computer last night as i got up to go on one of my many trips to the loo!

Looking forward to it tonight, its scary but i quite like the way they film it from a 'funny' angle! Makes it feel less scary...plus they always choose the loudest and most annoying people to put on the programme!

This is actually the first chat ive had on this forum properly, its so nice!!

i just started getting my hospital bag together tonight - bit early, but like you say above, i too forget pretty much everything these days! Need to get going bit by bit i think! i have barely touched my list and my bag is full already! Crazy amount of stuff!! Have you started yours? x

ooh, just sent you a message!

Oh no, i am getting sick of not sleeping! Think ive kind of conditioned myself to going to bed as late as i can so im completely shattered so that i fall asleep! (Although sometimes then i end up with a numb hip which kills by the morning!!)

Im in my PJs waiting for it to come on! Its pretty good actually, i dont think its too scary as its kind of done in a funny way....they always choose the scariest people (and the most annoying!) for entertainment purposes....thats what i tell myself anyway!! x

Hey ladies!

So what did you make of One born every minute tonight? I go from been okay about it all to teriffied! I was in the hospital today for my glucose test and I was just thinking all I need to do it go in, have the baby, then we can go home and everything will be okay - and however horrible the whole labour and hospital thing is it can't last for ever - and then we can go home!!!

I'm not sleeping well at all, I sleep for a few hours and then wake up, and just keep doing that but it takes me for ever to get comfy. I also get numb hips, and leg cramps - and a couple of times I've woken up with a numb arm which was very wierd! I don't think it helps that I can't turn over in my sleep any more - so if I want to turn over I wake myself up! I also like to stay up till I'm tired out but two days I week I'm up at 5am for work - I've had to call in sick a couple of times because I just haven't slept at all. I go to bed early and then I cant sleep, and then I think the stress of not sleeping makes me not sleep - if you know what I mean!!!!!

I've made a start on my hospital bag, I've bought a few things and washed the new stuff etc, and I have some long, long lists!!! I think I'll get everything together, see what fits, and go from there! I'm going to do a bag to leave in the car too of stuff I might need but might not, like extra nighties etc. There does seem so be sooooo much stuff!!!

Another thing I was thinking about - do you take your maternity notes EVERYWHERE with you? I've just had them in a file and I take them to appointments etc and if we go away, but today at the hospital the midwife said you do know you need to take these everywhere you go now don't you? Does that mean they need to be in my handbag or something the whole time? I guess it does . . . what do you guys do?

Hi girls, including Nel and AMJ!!

Didn't have laptop on last night, so didn't get a B& B fix! So have a sneaky look on here while at work - oops! I can't believe you're starting you've started your hospital bags - you're making me feel so disorganised!! Haven't even got a bag to take, let alone started packing i yet, maybe I should start!

I've watched One Born Every minute every week so far, but hubbie keeps telling me off for watching as it either makes me cry my eyes out or s**t myself that I won't be able to do it! I agree that they seem to pick the "screamers" to be on it though - but if I was te lady last night, I'd have given my OH a damn good slap for telling me "it's your fault its taking so long - it's 2am and I'm tired"!!!! Cheeky git!!!

Hopefully catch up with you all soon - need to get back to work before they sack me before I start maternity leave!!

Lots of love xxx

I did watch it! Im exactly the same...one min i cant wait for it all to happen anf im totally fine, and the next, im totally pooing myself!

I hope youre appt went ok today....i know what you mean though, i hope i get in get it done quickly and can come home with my baby soon after!!

Tell me about it - i hate going to bed now, i literally dread bedtime! Turning over is a nightmarre, you just wake yourself up every 5 mins!! I only ever sleep on one side now too so ive got a bruised hip and a very achy back too....its no fun!

I cant believe how long the list is for the hospital bag....its crazy. I started last night with a few bits but im literally about 20% of the way through my list and have filled 1 bag already!! Crazy!

I dont know, although i was told if you go abroad, youre meant to take them with you...im going to the south of france in 2 weeks for a week, and im going to take mine with me, although to be honest the hospital have mine at the moment!! I only have a little card that the Docs filled out once!

Are you going anywhere before your due date? x

We're just going to Chester for a few nights next week, kind of a last mini break before baby arrives - eek!! I'm really looking forward to it, we have a nice hotel booked and I've got a pre-natal massage / spa treatment booked - hopefully that'll be nice and relaxing and might ease some of my aches and pains lol! We love Chester, woo hoo for shopping!!!!!!

Where abouts in the South of France are you going? We've been down there a few times

I'm really not sure what to do about my notes now - literally the hospital midwife was like everywhere you go, these need to go. I've taken them out of my big file and put them into a plastic pocket, so I can put them in my hand bag, but they are going to have to be folded and they'll get battered! Maybe thats normal though and I'm just been odd!!!!!

PhoxiestFox this has turned into a fab thread hasn't it

Well I have had a very relaxing day today, got up early so that hopefully I can sleep tonight since I'm up at five for work. I've done lots of housework, had my hair done, and finished lots of annoying little jobs, so I'm very pleased with myself! I'm not tired yet though - oh I really hope I can sleep tonight! Roll on maternity leave - only four weeks left after this one, yay!

xx
