Most of the time I'm chuffed that we've kept it as a surprise, but then other times I wish we'd found out what we're having. Especially when it comes to buying things / choosing names etc. Also, DH said that he wished we'd found out as he thinks it'd help him bond (not that he's not bonding, but he'd find it easier I think) so then I felt really guilty that I'd made us not find out!

Have you all chosen names yet? And how far are you on sorting the nursery etc? x
Well done for staying on team yellow!! We were going to until the day before our 20 week scan lol! But we haven't told anyone - everyone thinks we didn't find out so its our little secret On the day I was kinda regretting it - I've ALWAYS said I'd wait - but then I started shopping lol!!!

We're still a bit undecided on names, I think we have middle names sorted its just the first name we can't quite agree on! Still a few weeks for me to work on that one though!!

We're doing okay with the nursery - I have all the baby things in there now and the walls are painted. We need to paint the woodwork, buy a new curtain pole and put the new curtains and light shade up, move some stuff out of there that isn't baby related and then its just finishing touches really! We're leaving the spare bed in there for now as we don't have another spare bed room and hubby works nights - and my parents live about an hour away. Hubby is concerned that if I need my mum to stay with me when we get towards the end, or when baby is here, she wouldn't have anywhere to sleep, so the spare bed stays for now lol! I think we've bought everything we need though - I'm onto buying stuff I just want now lol!!!

How about you?
Goodness, cant believe i got something on a computer to go right! ha ha!

I was the same, felt like maybe i shouldnt find out, but i thought too that it would help me bond and make it feel more real....Although i do envy team yellow people too! How exciting not to know!

I have bought outfits and things, but I am very envious of people who get to decorate their nursery....We moved from London (Im originally from harrogate though) to Dublin for my boyfriends job 9 months ago, so are just renting at the moment...we are planning to come back to the UK very soon after the birth though so i guess i will have to wait until then to get a nursery to be able to decorate!!
OOhhhh I LOVE Harrogate - its my favourite place to shop! We're only about 30 mins away, I'd much rather go there than Leeds. Where will you move back to in England? We've looked at moving to Harrogate a few times, but I think my OH thinks I'd be waaaay too expensive if I was any closer to all those lovely shops!!!
I love it there too! My parents still live there and so do all my friends, so im back there quite often...the shopping is lovely...i love sitting outside in the summer with a coffee, people watching!! Aah cant wait till summer now!!

Where abouts are you? x
That sounds like the perfect way to spend a lazy summer afternoon . . . with baby asleep in his pram hopefully lol!! I can't wait for the better weather

We're in Pontefract now, but I'm originally from Sheffield.
oooh you really arent far from harrogate...I dont know pontefract too well, but i know the area a bit. I do miss it up there....Could be tempted to go back up that way soon!

Oohhhh yeah I have been watching it - I forgot it was on tomorrow too! I've got it on Skyplus just in case - I forget my name most of the time these days and I don't think I've finished a sentance for weeks - I always forget what I'm saying half way though or just can't remember the word I want to use lol!!!

The first week of 'One born every minute' I just recorded it, I wasn't feeling brave enough to watch! Last week I watched it and then watched the first week so I was very proud of myself! All rather scarey though!!!!

Well I'd better sign off for tonight - I've got my glucose tolerance test thingy in the morning so I have to be at the hospital for just after nine. Been lovely to 'chat' though and looking forward to been bump buddies!!

Sorry, OH turned off the computer last night as i got up to go on one of my many trips to the loo!

Looking forward to it tonight, its scary but i quite like the way they film it from a 'funny' angle! Makes it feel less scary...plus they always choose the loudest and most annoying people to put on the programme!

This is actually the first chat ive had on this forum properly, its so nice!!

i just started getting my hospital bag together tonight - bit early, but like you say above, i too forget pretty much everything these days! Need to get going bit by bit i think! i have barely touched my list and my bag is full already! Crazy amount of stuff!! x
