Hooray!! Yes, it did work! Thanks girls!

Most of the time I'm chuffed that we've kept it as a surprise, but then other times I wish we'd found out what we're having. Especially when it comes to buying things / choosing names etc. Also, DH said that he wished we'd found out as he thinks it'd help him bond (not that he's not bonding, but he'd find it easier I think) so then I felt really guilty that I'd made us not find out!

Have you all chosen names yet? And how far are you on sorting the nursery etc? x

Well done for staying on team yellow!! We were going to until the day before our 20 week scan lol! But we haven't told anyone - everyone thinks we didn't find out so its our little secret On the day I was kinda regretting it - I've ALWAYS said I'd wait - but then I started shopping lol!!!

We're still a bit undecided on names, I think we have middle names sorted its just the first name we can't quite agree on! Still a few weeks for me to work on that one though!!

We're doing okay with the nursery - I have all the baby things in there now and the walls are painted. We need to paint the woodwork, buy a new curtain pole and put the new curtains and light shade up, move some stuff out of there that isn't baby related and then its just finishing touches really! We're leaving the spare bed in there for now as we don't have another spare bed room and hubby works nights - and my parents live about an hour away. Hubby is concerned that if I need my mum to stay with me when we get towards the end, or when baby is here, she wouldn't have anywhere to sleep, so the spare bed stays for now lol! I think we've bought everything we need though - I'm onto buying stuff I just want now lol!!!

How about you?

Goodness, cant believe i got something on a computer to go right! ha ha!

I was the same, felt like maybe i shouldnt find out, but i thought too that it would help me bond and make it feel more real....Although i do envy team yellow people too! How exciting not to know!

I have bought outfits and things, but I am very envious of people who get to decorate their nursery....We moved from London (Im originally from harrogate though) to Dublin for my boyfriends job 9 months ago, so are just renting at the moment...we are planning to come back to the UK very soon after the birth though so i guess i will have to wait until then to get a nursery to be able to decorate!!

OOhhhh I LOVE Harrogate - its my favourite place to shop! We're only about 30 mins away, I'd much rather go there than Leeds. Where will you move back to in England? We've looked at moving to Harrogate a few times, but I think my OH thinks I'd be waaaay too expensive if I was any closer to all those lovely shops!!!

Sarah, I can't believe that you've found out what you're having and you've managed not to tell anyone!! I'm such a blabber mouth, I can't hold my own water! Everyone would have known within minutes!

I've been a bit anal with the shopping - was trundling round mothercare with the list that they give you, merrily ticking things off!! There's a limit to how many yellow and grey babygrows you can buy though......

We've got our furniture ordered (did it yesterday) except cotbed - surely that's the first thing we should have bought, but that's what we're like Box room was full of junk, so it's a few more weekends work to get it fully emptied then a fun couple of days for DH to paint it!
Tammi, I feel for you not being able to do your nursery yet, but at least it gives you plenty of time for ideas on what to do! And loads of people have told me I'm worrying about it too early anyway, as they only need the moses basket for a few weeks. Are you coming back to live in Harrogate again?

So many people are from up in yorkshire, its so nice hearing people are from where i am! its so lonely here in Dublin, i barely know anyone and my boyf and I are starting to get pretty lonely...We are very concious that once the baby arrives, all we will want is to have family and friends around....
