Although I used to have it quite reguarly, I've been lucky enough to have avoided it so far in my pregnancy.

Until today that is. Now I'm itching and I can't stand still! I'm pretty sure it must be trush even though I don't have any of the usual discharge. Unfortunatly I've just seen the doctor this morning and it didn't start till I got home. I think it's ok to use the external cream but I thought I'd just check with you girls to be sure.

I think they give you a tablet to put inside your.. while you're pregnant, not sure though

My dr said that the oral and internal pill should be avoided during pregnancy but the external cream is okay - he prescribed me canisten. Maybe you should see youre dr just to make sure it is thrush and to check what's okay for you to take? Hope this helps.

I unfortunatley got this oce already in pergnancy i called the doc to see if i could get an over the counter cream and the called in a perscription cream through the pharmacy so you might want to call the doc.. When I called the doc i told them i had had it before so i new what it was

My doctor recommended that I go the probiotic route if I ended up with this (I'm prone to it as well). She just said try to eat a PLAIN yogurt in the morning and drink lots of water. She said if this doesn't work than it is safe to use the over the counter external creams, and if THAT doesn't work, then she would prescribe something for it.

To be honest i have had that throughout my whole pregnancy, and its hard... after i get treated, i get it back again. Its so annoying, im going to see midwife this tuesday, so hope they give me that canesten tablet. Fingers Crossed. Hope you get better soon sweetie... xxx

i went to the chemist they gave me the cream and told me i could still use it internaly but not to insert it to far in.
