| Hair and eyes Is there any kind of science behind this? I mean, is one colour more dominant than another?
Just sitting here daydreaming about what my little man will look like!
I have very dark brown hair and hazel eyes, my OH is blonde with blue eyes. What are the chances of baby having, say, my hair and his eyes? (that would be lovely!!)
Whats everyone else's LOs got? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I did genetics in school a while ago...I can't remember a whole lot of it, but I BELIEVE that dark hair is the dominant gene and blue eyes is the dominant gene.
So you might get your wish, but in the end it is all up to fate!
Good luck |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Me: Light brown hair (used to be darker) + dark brown eyes (almost black)
OH: Dark brown hair (born with light brown hair) + Greenish eyes
I guess she should have brown hair and brown eyes.. I'll let you know in a few weeks. Although, my OH carries the ginger gene (as his mum and brother are ginger). God help me! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I don't mind her being ginger really, because I think the colour in their family is lovely and would be so cute on a baby. It's not orange ginger. The reason I don't want her to be ginger is because I want people to look at her and know she's mine lol |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have dark brown eyes, dark brown hair and slightly olive skin.
My fiancé has blue/green eyes, fair hair and fair skin.
Our baby has blue eyes, blonde hair and fair skin.
The brown eyes/dark hair/darker skin gene is SUPPOSED to be dominant. But it sure as Hell wasn't dominant for us! My fiancé claimed all of our baby's colourings! Most of my friends and family say to me now "Are you sure you took home the right baby?" As a joke obviously!
So don't be surprised if your baby turns out either just like you or just like his dad? It's not always a mixture of the 2. I was hoping that our baby would have dark brown eyes like me and blonde hair like his dad? But I didn't get anything! lol |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My mum is ginger with blue eyes and my dad is dark haired and blue eyes - i am dark haired and blue eyes but my twin - sheis from the milk man! She is blond, blue eyes and olive skinned!!
I have the dreaded ginger gene too and am covered in freckers. I love little girls with red hair - but my brother is ginger and there is something weird about him that puts me off! How old does a baby have to be before you can dye his hair? lol |
