Best doctor ever! Being induced April 2nd!

Had a great visit with my doctor today and we talked a bit more detailed about induction. He told me at the last visit he would be willing to induce at 39 weeks so if I want I can pick any day after April 2nd. (of course I'm going with the first day possible!) I don't live near the hospital and it's my 3rd and he knows I've been in more pain than I can cope with so he's taking pity on me I guess.

I've been thinking about it for the past 3 weeks because I wasn't sure I wanted to go that route due to how painful it was being induced with my first. Sooo today I asked him what methods he uses and mentioned my experience before. He said there are about 10 different ways to do it and we would decide the week before which to use depending on baby's position and the condition of my cervix.

Best news: He said he's very certain we can work out a painless induction! Apparently he's done it before and has never had trouble with it. *I love modern medicine* I was planning to have an epidural anyway but it'll just happen earlier than I thought this time. I have gone from terribly worried over labor to completely excited. My DH doesn't quite believe me yet but this doctor delivered my daughter and he followed through last time with all of his promises so I'm confidant in him this time.

(yes, i'm a wuss and modern medicine has finally caught up with my wussiness)

Thanks I knew it would pay off to switch back to my old doctor as soon as he got back from his hiatus!

By the time 39 weeks gets here I probably won't care how he comes out as long as he GETS OUT. lol I've never gone all the way to 39 weeks before either so I'm not sure if I'll even make it to that point. After the iduction with my son that *sucked* and 30 hrs of labor with my daughter I figure I deserve an easy one. lol

My DH's bday is April 1st. I kinda want to try to talk the doctor into doing it on his bday but I think I'm getting lucky enough without pushing it! I am still going to tell DH it's his bday present and that he better not complain about his gift this year! lol

Thanks! Everything is just falling into place this past week. All the stuff we didn't have that we still needed is just appearing from all directions. DH has a promising job interview soon and money coing in has been more than we expected from everywhere. Suddenly things look bright again!
