Weird Feelings...Normal?

I had surgery last year, actually a year ago today to have my gall bladder removed. On the 21st of April I ended up having a huge migraine and had to go to the ER. They gave me some drugs which caused a mega-anxiety attack. I got all jittery, couldn't calm down or sit still, almost ripped the IV out of my arm cause I HAD to be doing something. The past few months (since the second trimester) those feelings have been coming back. I can't sit still, feels like my heart is going a mile a minute (and it IS!). I try laying down, slow breathing, NOTHING helps. Anyone else getting anything like this or is it possible that it's STILL the drugs, even a year later?

When I get very bad migraines I feel a bit like this, my heart feels like it's going to come out of my chest, I sweat, can't breathe normally.

I really doubt it would still be the drugs after such a long time.

Hope you get better

I've been feeling like that since my 2nd trimester too. I have figured out that sometimes it's because my blood sugar is high but other times it's not. I'm thinking it could be anxiety and/or just a general pregnancy-related rapid heart beat. I asked an OB and my MW about it and neither seemed concerned nor could tell me why this is happening. When I looked up rapid heartbeat online, most of the sites indicated pregnancy can cause rapid heart beats. We do have 50% more blood pumping through us making our hearts work harder. Still, it feels like an anxiety attack a lot of the time. But like you said, nothing helps until it decides to pass. I wouldn't think its still the meds from last year. Definitely ask about it your next visit. Hope you feel better!

I've read that some women get restless leg syndrome as well, so maybe your feeling the effects of this? Just not effecting only your legs. Maybe because you've already had an anxiety attack, the restless legs start manifesting itself in other areas. This is pure speculation and guessing though. I hope you feel better!

If it worries you keep mentioning to your doctor. to some extent it can be normal as mentioned above, but if it is caused by anxiety - then you will need to find ways to tackle it - as worrying will make it worse.

Also, it can be caused by serval conditions which you may suffer from - so eventually doc might do some tests to rule these out.

Hope you feel better soon!

PitBullMommy, how are you doing with this? I'm still having it. Yesterday my pulse was 120-130 almost all day. I'm going to ask about it again Monday when I go back to see the MW.
