Calcium, calcium and more calcium !!!!!

I had the same problem and since my doc put me on extra calcium tablets its been so much better. If I forget to take them for a few days, the cramps come back so I'm getting pretty good about taking them.

If labour is much worse than the cramps in the calf muscles I'm scared!!!

Potassium will help too if it's not restless legs. Bananas are a good source. Hope they get better soon

Hmmm..Ive been taking a powder Calcium-Magnesium supplement all thru the pregnancy, in addition to diary products..So I would hope theres no deficiency, unless she's going thru a bone-hardening spurt right now!

Hope you feel better! I have those too, and they've gotten worse as I'm bigger.

Ooh I have learned to control them: as soon as you feel one push your heel down and your toes UP! seriously stops them.

I do exactly the same!! Sometimes I can feel them start to cramp up several times durting the night, especially if I stretch as a turn over but as soon as I feel them, I do what Aqua said & it goes. I just have the odd time where I don't do it quite fast enough and they cramp up badly so OH usually has to lift my toes up because I can't do it myself!
