I dont think you can say that the CP was caused by a vaginal breech delivery. There is a link between babies with CP tending to be breech but not the type of delivery giving them CP.

Quote: my mother in law had a breech baby and delivered vaginally and her daughter now has cerebal palsy because of it my baby was breech i was booked for a c-section and when i went in for it at 38 weeks they asked y i was there i said he's breech they gave me a look scanned me and said yes dear baby has turned you can go home if you like and i was sent on my way i delivered head down at 41 weeks must of been the thought of coming out scared him lol its scary but i'd have a c-section everytime as i wouldn't want any damage done to my child or to even take a chance on it its a tuff choice

thanks. i didnt realise there was a risk of cerebral palsy. now i dont know what 2 do!!! i guess i shall pray he turns! if there is a risk 2 baby then i guess a c section is called 4 but i REALLY dont want major surgery!

I strongly urge you do. I think that was a very, flipant comment to make without pointing to some good supporting evidence. I thought I had researched breech birth pretty thoroughly. I tend to look in to things in depth and this was the first time this has come up. The only link I can find (I will be spending more time search though) was the babies WITH CP tend to have been breech. CP is a neurological syndrome so maybe they stay breech when the already have CP?
Do look into it more and ask your consultant and MW Maybebaby

At my yoga class, one lady had a breech baby and another had a back to back and they both took some homeopathic remedies. Both babies are now engaged and ready to be born. It might be worth taking a look (I'm not expert and who knows, the babies might have turned of their own accord but it might not hurt to take it or investigate).
