If you have pre-eclampsia, do you have to have a c-section?

From my sister's experience...yes,you would have to have a c-section.

i had pre eclampsia in my first pregnancy they gave me meds to keep it under control and induced me.

Yeah when I had my scare and they explained what would happen if it was positive they said I could try and have her naturally. They said they would induce me, give me 12 hours for something to happen and if there was no luck they'd have to give me a section.

I had pre-eclampsia with my first, and i was induced 2 weeks early. Natural birth, no problems. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your replies girls. am awaiting results tomorrow, so will see then. am just hoping i wont need a c-seciton cos i will have to have a general and dp wont be allowed in the room.
