Does anyone not plan on being induced?

There are so many messages on here talking about if they go to 38 or 40, they will be induced, or whatever the week...Is there anyone out there who plans on letting nature take it's course?

i am still undecided. My hospital does not force anybody to be induced, but if you go over 42 weeks, you have to go in for monitoring every day! That would probably be nearly impossible for me at that stage, as I live a bit far from the hospital... just hoping things happen on time

I think people being induced before 40 weeks are only doing so due to medical reasons. Otherwise most people get left for 10-14 days after their due date before being induced x

I went 18 days over, I was in for daily monitoring from 10 days over. In this area they are pretty easy with having people go 12-14 days over and will allow you to go further with the monitoring as long as baby is happy.

yeah i really dont want to be induced, but my hospital only lets you go 12/14 days over, not too sure about the daily monitoring thing- dunno what their policy is. i just want nature to run its course!

I think I will refuse to be induced. I was late the last two times so i just think that is normal for me. I think I ould prefer to go naturally even if it means going over. Having said that I was induced in my last labour and it was an ok labour; had gas and air and diamorphine.

I thought the placenta stops working properly after a certain amount of time being overdue, so can be dangerous?

I know that there are medical conditions where they should be, but there are so many that are doing it just because..That's why I was curious..
