| Crazy question? Here's my crazy question for the day.....when will I know that I am in labor? I ask this because I finally get off bedrest tomorrow...after 10 weeks!!! I've been on bedrest because I have contractions every 2-3 minutes and my cervic has been shortening. I am going back to work tomorrow, but I work 20 miles out of town. With my 1st child I had a c-section due to toxemia. I am having a repeat CS, but my doc has scheduled it for the 16th...and I'm due on the 22nd. I'm afraid that I will go into labor before the 16th. How will I know if it's "real" labor??? I mean...the contractions getting closer together really doesn't work for me. I imagine they will become stronger, but at times they are VERY strong right now. I have been on medication, and I will stop taking it tomorrow also...so who knows what will happen?
Thanks for any thoughts about this . |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I am not sure what to tell you hun. My MW assures me that I will know when I am in labor, but I know there are plenty of women who didn't. Good luck! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm just glad my hospital is only 7 minutes away.. I hope I don't go into labour during rush hour though, that could take hours! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Here they do planned C-sections at 38 weeks in order to prevent labour. What week will you be in when your C-section is done? |

| I will be 39 weeks+1 day. Do you always lose your plug before you go into labor??? I wish they would do the C-section a little sooner. Without ever going into labor before I'm a little nervous. Also, knowing that I have to have a c-section anyway I would rather just avoid labor altogether . |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Frog you can lose your plug before labor, or during it. So that is not relaly a good indicator of labor.
It is actually much better for you and the baby to labor before a c-section because of the amazing cocktail of hormones that are released. It helps with bonding, and breast feeding and much more. |
