Got a text from Gill this morning at 6am.

She went into hospital at 2am, was examined andwas 2cm, was going to be sent home but contractions picked up while she was there and is now dozing in the birth pool - she said its lush Crazy lady!! lol

Sore but manageable pain, minimal tears and no pain relief

She's doing really well.

Will keep you informed of anymore news.

Go Gill!!! You can do it hun!

Here's to a speedy dilation to 10cm for her.

Gills text at 4am to say she has had an epidural and her waters have been broken.

Hoping her little princess will be here before lunchtime

She's tired and lost a lot of blood after a bit of an emergency delivery, she has text a pic and Sheby is gorgeous. Will leave it up to her to expand on everything else and post her first pic of her little cutie!

Well - I'm home After being in the birth pool for nearly 2 hours - it really is lush, got a bit of kip in there hehe - my contractions have stopped. I'm still 2cm with a totally thin cervix so things are happening but I'm classed as early labour as it stops and starts with a bath. So we're home to have a sleep and some food and hopefully the contractions will pick up again soon.
It was getting quite sore I have to say so I don't think I'll be drug free the whole way, I was in tears at one point...

We'd got into the midwife unit at around 2am after 2 hours of regular 3min apart, approx. 1min long contractions that was mighty ouchy. Was examined etc and found to be 3/4 thinned cervix at just 2cm, so carried on with the pains for a bit. She left us for about half an hour and came back to time them again and she thought they were still mild and not quite 1min long but I was in a lot of pain as bubs keeps moving back to back. So she gave me a paracetamol and another hour. After that hour the contractions had become less frequent, now one every 10mins but they were definitely over a min long and really quite sore. I was crying through them this time. She offered the birth pool to try help the pain so I jumped at the chance and had a blissful hour then the contractions really slowed down, an hour later and they had pretty much stopped. Midwives swapped over and the new one did the whole timing and exaimined me, still 2cm but fully thin at least - not great progress for nearly 5 hours So we decided best to go home and get some proper sleep whilst the pains are minimal. Hubby was struggling and kept falling asleep when I was in the pool. So we've had a big greasy maccy d's breakie and now am going to go get some kip.
I've a list of instructions on when to go back into hospital so fingers crossed after my nap, the contractions will start up again and be real labour this time. I've a feeling this could go on for days though
