I heard you need to eat a good 56 pineapples a day to get contactions going. Tried elevating hips twice and nothing, tried hot hot chilli and nothing, tried walking- nothing, and tried ball and nothing. This baby aint gonna move for no-one lol x

not quite 56 pineapples but about 7 fresh pineapples esp the hard core, all the food methods can trigger bowel cramps which can make the uterus contract sympathitically and if your ready then it could start you off, personally feeling sick right before labour isnt my idea of a great time or having loose bowels during early labour not ideal, id rather stick with rubbing my stomach with clarysage oil , using EPO and RLT to make sure when my body is ready that it all starts off well

i think it only works really if baby is actually ready to come.

although i was told a week ago baby still wasnt engaged at all she was sat nicely on the brim. was told to try sex!
so first night of tryin it straight after i had some increasin pressure down below and pains, were i could feel her pushin down.
went to midwife on thursday and she is nearly fully engaged =)!

now my sex is to try and get baby out and im tellin u shes trickin me with it. after sex i get sore back and dull period pain like cramps down there. so she is startin to prepare my body for her arrival.

its worth givin it ago and, i can only imagine how not wantin to have sex afterwards, the pain and bleedin etc after birth then the sleepless tirin nights my OH will be very deprived after for a good 6-8week so im thinkin il treat him now just to see him over til then =).

i do think it really depends wether or not baby is ready to come and will work for some and not for others. but its fun tryin, shuts OH up and gives me some nice braxton hicks to get used to before the real thing. x

Summer - one you haven't got on your list is Clary Sage oil. Apparently it can help to bring on contractions. You rub 3-4 drops on your bump and 3-4 drops on your lower back. I've NO IDEA if this works but I'm trying EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!

My MW told me to bathe in it too, about 15 drops in a warm bath. If you are rubbing it into your skin, you should always mix it in an oil first though & not use it straight out of the bottle, olive oil is what I've been mixing it with.
