Anyone carried one baby breech and another head down?

My first two were head down all the way and this one is breech.

I wondered if you felt more uncomfortable carrying the breech as you got bigger? This one is getting really awkward and unpleasant to carry at a much earlier stage than I remember with the girls.... He's 'measuring' big too which may have something to do with it - if they are right, I take it with a pinch of salt TBH, although I dont have small babies (eg 8lb 11)

I just wondered of anyone else had carried both ways and noticed a difference?

Can't really say I noticed a great deal of difference between my first who was breech and my second who was head down. Though this time around I feel very low down in general, even my bump seems low....no coffee cup shelf for me

Thanks KK. I feel very high up this time which makes sense if his head is up at the top - like a ball under my ribs!

My LO has turned now but that was only at 36 weeks, she was breech for about 4 - 5 weeks we think and I definitely noticed a difference. Felt really breathless all the time and found it hard to bend down - like you say all I could feel was a big ball under my ribs! Definitely a lot more comfortable now shes turned xx

Thanks Sparky - fingers crossed he turns soon. I thought he was trying to last night when I was in bed but no luck....

Sparky did you actually notice when she did turn? I am waiting for this massive movement! He feels and measures big so I'm guessing I'll notice. I knew when he'd turned from head down to breech at 28 wks!

I thought I felt her turn - I had quite a hot bath one night and as I was lead back, my bump went into almost a triangular shape. Was a really odd feeling and made me feel quite sick, but then later that night (again whilst laying down) the exact same thing happened again, making me think she'd turned back.

Other than that I had no big movements at all and was convinced she was still breech but nope, she had indeed turned and engaged.

Have you done the exercises they recommend? I got on all 4s for ten mins every night and wiggled my hips, apparently its one of the most affective and it seemed to work for me!

Good luck though and hope he turns soon

I am doing all the inversions, swimming, on al fours, hips swinging on the birth ball....the whole shebang!! If he's the same on weds I'll have it confirmed in a scan. We are lucky to have a MW here who is also a qualified acupuncture practitioner and Chinese Herbalist so after the scan they will try acupuncture and moxibustion and I also have a hypnotherapy session with my hypnobirthing teacher! This baby doesnt stand a chance....I am determined to have my home birth!

Determination is the key!

That moxibustion thing is meant to be fantastic, im sure I read somewhere its effective in 70% of cases! Thought it was really odd when I first heard about it but everyone seems to rave about it.

Good luck anyway! Really hope hes turned without you realising!
