blood pressure ......advice anyone

hi girls, went to the midwife today, 28 weeks tomorrow as my stomach has been feeling really achy at the top and painful, anyway she squeezed me in and my urine was fine, my bp was 141/88 though..now thats the same as when i booked in but is generally high for me, my normal is 130/80...... i am at the anti d clinic tomorrow and she said they will re test it tomorrow anyway and she didnt seem concerned, my placenta and heart beat sounded normal on the doppler. i honestly think thiese pains a am getting is dwn to the fact i had a big tummy tuck before i got pregnant, 2 years ago it was and the muscles are stretching up high the same as in a first pregnancy. .....anyone else think 140/88 is anything to worry about?? xx

I was told that BP is only a concern if either number is 20 points higher than your booking appointment or the bottom number is over 90. I've been for several blood pressure profiles now, as mine has fluctuated loads. HTH x

If its the same as when you booked it is shouldnt be anything to worry about. Like PB&J says, its when it goes a certain level above your baseline is when they worry.

thats a good bp. Ive just been sent up for monitoring today as my bp was 140/98, and they were more than happy with it once it went down to the late 80's xx
