Yes hun I have lol had a emergency c-section, I was being scanned every two weeks due to being high risk and they were brilliant, and the team I had delivering Keira was A++++++ and saved my life and hers also my Mum's 6 years before the after care was spot on and the nurses and midwifes etc after the birth that help you on the ward for how ever long you have to be there were BRILLIANT can't fault the hospital

Hi hun. I work at nevil hall and originally arranged for my care there. I havent given birth there but i had an overnight stay and have been in for monitoring. I had nothing but horrible experinces and have transfered to the gwent. On days i was monitored i was sat waiting with girls in labour who had waited hours to be seen. This was on more than one occasion. The midwifes and the doctors all seem very rude and i felt rushed. I was never followed up correctly. They never had enough staff in the area you go when your in labour. Just my experince. My experinces with the gwent have been million times better which has surprised me to be honest.

rest of the staff and team I mean by the ward after you have had the baby they are brill one in particular her name is Naomi short with brown hair she is brilliant, the team that delivered keira also and the after care team that helped me after the birth, they helped me shower go to the loo, fed keira and see to her when I was unable to move kept her in there little office while I went to shower, also some times in the night ( in was in there for 7 days ) they took her in to the night staff office and fed and changed her so I could sleep, they helped me learn how to express milk and helped me with personal matters

I obviously have no experience with the ward after delivery. I was on a different ward and i have been on the day unit often. They are hoirrible there. I was sat with girls in pain and labour who had waited for hours to even be checked. But im really pleased you where so well looked after ,sounds like you great care.

I think it probably has a lot to do with which doctors and midwifes are on at the time as to how we are treated. The other psoter had a great experince. I am consultant care and i am very happy with her a the gwent. She has treated me before. Plus 2 of my friends have premiture babies and where treated well. But i have heard of people having bad expeiences at the gwent.
It probably all comes down to the staff at the time.

I have always been at the gwent to have mine, but this time I am opting for a home birth, I have however had to book in at Neville Hall just in case I have to go in urgently.....I have had great experiences at the Gwent, not too sure what Im thinking about Neville Hall though as I have heard a lo of storied where its bad, but hopefully my mw will be with me all the time, all the way through if needed to go in and I will have the best of care off her......

I'm down to give birth at Nevill Hall, I'd much prefer it to the Gwent. My mother in law works there as a nurse and my OH was born there, I'm looking forward to the tour of the place
xx
