Another big baby question

Hi Everyone,

Only just found you all last week, just as I hitting my last trimester, oh well, i'm here now.

I had my 24 week midwife appointment, this is my first child, and i am measuring 2 1/2 weeks bigger than I am. Everyone is really making me fed up at work as they keep telling me how massive I am, and that the baby is going to be a hippo and a really big weight. I have got a major complex about this and am getting really paranoid. What are the chances of my dates being wrong, I am also worried bout gestional diabeties now though, however am now 27 weeks nearly and have only gained 9 pounds so far don't think this can be the case. Has anyone else measured bigger in previous pregnancies and went on to have small babies.

Someone make me feel better as i'm fed up of everybody having an opinion of how big I am.

xxxx

everyone carries differently just bec u are big does not mean the baby is huge.
just try and ignore everyones comments there are those that will tell u ure massive and those that will tell u ure not so big. next time u go for a scan just ask how much they estimate the baby weighs but really who cares? all we need is healthy happy babies. i have GD so they said i might have a big baby, obviously i dont want a huuge baby because it will be hard to deliver but even if it is big, thats the way G-D made it. sorry ppl are bothering you. im sure you look great!

I get told im huge all the time, always by mates and random people. I ignore really as im Proud of my bump , my first pregnancy bump i had wasnt much of one just looked podgey lol , show off your bump n ignore the comments!

Welcome Karen, I'll be counting he days down with you! Everyone has an opinion on how big your bump is. Mine was too big at one point but seems to have gone back to normal. I am proud of him, whatever size he is! But if he is going to be big like his dad, he might as well be big enough so i have a c-section!

I was measuring too big and now I'm measuring perfect and my baby has always measured small on growth scans. Big uterus doesn't = big baby. A big uterus can be because a number of factors, including fluid and placenta size.

I keep on having people tell me how small my bump is Its really starting to get to me although I know it shouldn't. Baby Sean is also more than 2 weeks bigger than he should be according to the measurements.
