I had an ECV which failed and the baby got a bit stressed I would opt out of any further interference if it happened again and let nature take its course, main thing is baby arrives safely and you are safe - C Sections arent as bad as they make out

But my worse fear was to have a c-section
Im so confused and not prepared for this
I had a successful ECV today. This is my fifth child, and I too was terrified of having a c section (after 4 vaginal births). I researched alot - even watched a video of it being carried out on You tube(!). It did hurt, but I asked for Gas & Air for the pain and once I got going on that they could have spent another half hour shoving and manipulating for all I cared! It was magic! The relief when the baby had been turned was unbelievable, I was grinning from ear to ear!
I really think there's nothing to be lost by giving it a go - it worked for me.

Thank you everyone. Just waiting for the constulant to call me today and arrange an appointment.
I'll see what they say etc.
Im thinking more of letting nature take its course and im sure there is still hope that she could turn at the last min before the c section.
I'd rather she was healthy and happy,.
I've spoken to a few other people that have had unsucessful ecv etc
Im just scared about c sections now. lol I hate being a wimp!!!!

Hey Hun, first of all you are not a wimp lol. I was faced with a similar decision last week, until I had my scan and was told she wasnt breech anymore, dont panic she still has time to move!
Ask them to re-scan you at 39 weeks, if you dont put your foot down and say what you want they wont do anything and will try and push you into stuff you dont want.

I personally havent had the ECV but friend of mine has, says it was very painful and wouldnt recommend it to anyone, she said she had it done and 3 hours later the baby had turned back lol, stubborn or what!

I dont like The thought of C Sections either, but if at the end of the day it gets your baby out the right way and helps you and baby is born healthy then thats all that matters. xx

I'm glad you asked this, I have MW appointment this afternoon to see if baby is still breech. (I'm 37+1) and have been told I may need an ECV if LO is still breech!! Not too keen on the ECV but I'm even less keen to have the C-section!! I'll be asking MW & consultant millions of questions before I opt for the procedure, Just need to see how it goes!!! hope all goes well for you!!
