Asthma / Breathing Problems

Hi Girls,
I'm just over 33 weeks now and my breathing has got car worse this last week. My asthma has got worse as the weeks have gone past anyway but i'm really struggling at the moment. Is this normal at this stage of pregnancy or should i see my dr about my asthma in case it's that?

I'm asthmatic and found that my asthma got worse as pregnancy went on. I've only every been slightly asthmatic so found it quite noticeable. Apparently, 1/3 of asthmatics find their asthma improves, 1/3 it gets worse and 1/3 no change at all.

Regardless, I would get it checked out by your GP. I went when I was around 30 weeks and was told to increase my preventative (Pulmicort) to two puffs twice a day because I had a chest infection which made things really bad.

Now that baby has dropped I have noticed a significant improvement in my asthma so hope that that happens to you too.

Don't struggle on - go and see your GP! xx

I don't have asthma at all but my husband does and he's started to notice me wheezing at night and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to catch my breath. Very odd!
