| I have felt this awful pinching and some sharp stabbing pains shooting up my area. When I told my doctor that, she said sometimes it could mean that your cervix is dilating, it could mean that the baby's head is laying on that area or pushing on that area, or that those muscles could be stretching out. Mine ended up being that my LO's head is laying right in that area and pushing in this area where she hasn't been before. My muscles aren't used to it. She said whenever they have someone call in after 20 weeks along with those symptoms (pinching and stabbing pains) they have them come in to get an internal to make sure it is not the cervix thinning or dilating. So not sure if you can tell other than having an internal....my doctor seems to think you can have those symptoms though and be dilating. Who knows! |
