Booked in for c-section now due to breech and terrified! Anyone else?

As the title says basically! I'm scared out of my mind! Didn't think I'd have to have a c-section or that I'd get to meet my baby so soon... eek!

Oh dear, your little man didnt want to move??? i was talking about this with you 2weeks ago, and we were reassuring each other they would move in time lol. when are you booked in for? dont be too worried hun, as everyone will tell you, he may still turn and if not, you get to meet him that little bit earlier. i know many people who have had c-sections and they were fine. many hugs

I'm anxious from the start I really wanted a natural birth, even going for a doctor who supports and favor vaginal birth but it seems with my Partial Placenta Previa! I'm also book for C-section at 38 weeks .

I had a c-section with my first and it was fine - recovered well. I was also terrified beforehand - remember I kept randomly crying!! But wasn't half as scary as thought it was going to be and I felt fine afterwards. x

No, he's still in the same place he was before Has your LO moved yet? My ob said that there is very little chance mine will turn as there is so little room for him in there now (I'm 4'10" and so as you can imagine don't have much storage space for him now!) so he booked me in today for 38 weeks which is on the 26th. Oh I saw on another thread you had a few dramas?? Is everything ok now? I hope so
Pearl_vincent we can be terrified together but like xerinx and ThisTimePls said hopefully we will be fine and it won't be as bad as we think thanks girls you have made me feel a little less scared. What is a c-section actually like? What were your experiences? I want to know everything I can lol. I want to know what I'm getting into

Thank you, I just read it Did you really not feel the spinal being put in? That's what I'm scared of the most... that I'll feel it and jump and something will go wrong!

Hey!

I had to have an emergency c-section back in Oct 08 and i can say its not as bad as people make out! My recovery was really quick Try not to worry yourself too much! xx
Electives are much more calmer than emergencys too so you should be fine!

They put local anesthetic in 1st so you do feel that injection but its not bad, after that all you feel is a bit of pressure, they failed my spinal 2 times due to me not sitting properly and i could feel it a bit then, but it wasnt pain just uncomfy. They make sure it doesnt hurt ect and try to make you stay in the right position but my bump was soo big i struggled to sit like proper.

The likelyhood of anything going wrong through a spinal is very low they explain all the risks ect to you... I really wouldnt worry
