Would they let you bring baby home? - Page 2

Thanks, I have got a midwife app tomorrow morning so I'll ask her. I feel a bit better today, I also think she has dropped now, as im getting pressure and pains down there and constantly need a pee.

We've known of babies who were delivered at 34 and 35 weeks that were so well they never made it down to SCBU. And I've discharged one home from SCBU at 33+1. Depends entirely on the baby. It's still like what A3my says, really - if they're feeding well, putting on weight well and can maintain their temperature, there's really no need for us to keep them in. I think they're trying to get away from weight cut-offs really because that doesn't account for individual babies.

My SIL gave birth to my neice at 36 weeks - she was induced as her waters broke too early and she was at high risk of infection.

She was kept in hospital for 3 days, baby was put into an incubator but only for 3 hours until doctors did their checks and said baby is totally healthy and doesn't need to stay in there. After 3 days of close monitoring of baby, they discharged her from the hospital.
