How much swelling is normal?

My hands have been swollen for a while now, but since yesterday it has been really bad and my legs are badly swollen as well. You still can see a bit of an ankle but it is much worse on my right body side and slighty painful. Also feel extremely tired, drained today with a slight headache. I have my next doctor appointment on Tuesday. Do you think I have to be concerned and try see him before?

You could call if you are very concerned. I have been really swollen lately as well, but my doc said not to worry unless my face starts swelling or I feel dizzy. Try drinking some water and putting your feet up. This helps me a bit and hopefully it will help you too.

Heya hun I had pre-eclampsia and only had a little swelling, are you seeing spots in your vision or suffering from bad head aches....... just to be on the safe side ring your midwife and explain and ask to have the acid in your blood and blood pressure checked.... pre-eclampsia can be very sneaky although I had it I only had the head aches a few spots in my vision and a little swelling, but by 35 weeks it got worse, Im not saying you have it or to scare you but always best to be on the safe side hun xxx

Thanks girls!!

I actually had some spots a few days ago...but that was just for a few minutes, do you have them constantly with pre-eclampsia?. Headaches over the last few days just slightly to non. I will probably give them a call in the morning - just to be on the safe side.
