Hospital Tour? When does it usually take place?

As title really, when does the hospital tour usually take place and does your midwife book it or do you liaise with the hospital directly?

Thanks

here its usually about 36 weeks. Ask your mw about it, she will be able to tell you what to do, i believe its usually booked through them. xx

I just had my tour today hun and i'm 35 +3 weeks pregnant. I got mine sorted through my pipps midwives. Ask your midwife about it she should be able to let you know when there's another tour on and when's best for you to go x

I asked my midwife about this at my last appointment and she gave me a number to phone. I checked and in my local hospital you don't have to be a certain amount of weeks. Mine's booked for 2pm on Sunday 21st Feb

If you dont attend the antenatal classes can you still ask for a tour?

I'm not interested in doing the classes this time as I did it with my first but with my first we were planning on HB and this time I have to have a hospital birth so I want to see the hospital.

I am sure it works differently depending on the area but I asked my MW and she said from 30-32 weeks onwards and to call the midwives number at the back of my book to arrange one well in advance as they get full quickly.
