I don't have it, but DH does. I wake up full of bruises every morning from being kicked all night long. Sometimes it's so bad I have to make him go sleep on the couch. I'm a wicked light sleeper so every time he jerks or kicks it wakes me up and he wakes up in the AM still tired, even though he sleeps all night..it's not restful sleeping. I hope y'all's symptoms lessen or go away soon!

I've had it most of my pregnancy. Some nights, I just feel like crying it's so frustrating! Unfortunately, I haven't found anything that really helps except getting up and doing something else for awhile until I'm so exhausted I just crash out. That's how I ended up on here!

Don't lie there and drive yourself crazy. Get up, do some light stretching, flex and point your toes, drink a glass of milk and try sleep again a little later. Hang in there!

Argh, yes I get this...only had it a couple of times thankfully, but jeez, its so annoying! As pepperflake said, dont lie still and attempt to sleep as itll just drive you mad, try a nice warm bath, and a hot drink...thats usually what I do..it passes though I find. You have my sympathy though

I've had this a few times even before pregnant, how annoying is it.

Try Tonic Water, OH's mother mentioned it at Christmas time and I remember it did work. Worth a try. xx

I had this from 27 weeks-30 weeks ish....maybe its an Upton thing lol. Mine felt really weird.....the only way i can describe it is like electric going through my legs and i want to thrash it out.Its so annoying though because sometimes it was only a little bit but felt so horrible!! I used to go mad in bed
I agree with supernurse though i was having a glass of tonic water about an hour before bed and it helped as thats good for cramps too, make sure on the ingredients it has something called "quinine" in it though.
I dont seem to get it now though just a little normal leg cramping.

I had this too & it used to drive me crazy I used to find getting up & walking giving your legs a stretch did help a little, & also if you do somethinng that takes your mind off your legs will help. It has passed now & I dont know why, but apart from the toilet trip once a night - I have no trouble sleeping whatsoever!
