Constipation (and way TMI!)

I haven't been to the toilet 'properly' in ages. I can't remember actually! I am on codeine which makes 'normal' pregnancy constipation worse.

I ended up crying on the loo about 30 minutes ago as I was in so much pain. I am stupid. I forgot I had lactulouse. So I came out, promptly swallowed way more than recommended and oh my word, I have never been so relieved to go to the toilet!

I seriously recommend lactulouse if you are struggling. You can get it on prescription from your GP.

thankyou!!! ive been in agony... went 10 days there without "going". have given myself piles too its been so bad!

Give your GP a call in the morning and see if she/he will prescribe you it. Really does work wonders! Lol!

In the meantime have you tried orange juice or prunes? Banannas used to work for me too, I have just gone off them though!

oj makes my heartburn unbearable! havent tried prunes... dont like em but thats not an issue at this point! will def be trying them tomorrow!!

Prune juice, especially the kind with high pulp works wonders. I know what you mean though, constipation is the wooorst! Ouch!
